By now we’ve seen 15 beautiful squares from some of my favorite designers in the crochet-verse!! Congratulations on keeping up because after this week, if you’ve made one of each, you’re almost one third of the way to finishing a twin sized blanket and one sixth of the way to finishing a king sized blanket!! Quick note: If you are waiting to crochet these squares remember that they are all FREE for the duration of the year but the price is subject to change in 2017. So, if you wait until next year to start, you may find that some of these patterns are no longer available for free!!
This week is all about the wobble. The Wibble Wobble to be exact! I’m excited to introduce this peppy design from Wine & Chocolate Crafts!
Let’s learn a little more about the square and the designer behind it!
Pamela Alcala is the woman behind the Wine & Chocolate Crafts brand. Her work is amazing and her customers love whenever she posts pics of something new she’s whipped up!
You can find her all around the internet!
A few words from Pamela!
It all started three years ago when my son was born. My mom bought me a 5.00mm hook and a skein of yarn, taught me how to make one hat, and I couldn’t stop after that! I love being able to share my designs and creations with others, and look forward to sharing more as time goes on!
Thoughts about her newest pattern, Wibble Wobble!
I love working with simple stitches that, when combined, can make some of the most intricate patterns!
I was visiting family in Chile when I came up with this particular design. I was all over the place, visiting with family, and felt like my mind was all jumbled up. That’s when I decided on this particular stitch. The stitch for this square is called Winkle Picot, and I love how it gives the square a “messy-yet-organized” feel (at least in my eyes!) I am extra proud of this square, since it’s the very first time I tackle a project like this. I truly hope you enjoy playing around with it as much as I did!!
Important details about this block from the designer:
Gauge: 26sc = 7”
Skill Level: Beginner
Materials Used (include yarn, hook, notions, etc.):
- Red Heart Soft
- K/6.50mm hook
I hope you enjoy tackling this week’s block and you’re looking forward to next week’s exclusive design from Another Creation Crochet Style with Luv!
