Let’s learn a little more about the square and the designer behind it!
Debby Tumillo owns and operates Fozybear’s Cottage Crochet. Her designs are both fun and functional; From Halloween wigs to soap holders she’s got it all!
You can find her all around the internet!
A few words from Debby!
I started crocheting about 12 years ago when my daughter got a crochet kit from her aunt for Christmas. She had trouble following the instructions and asked me to teach her. I had to learn myself before I could show her and I got hooked on it!
One day in the mall, my son asked me to buy him a hat. My reply was, “I can make that even better.”
That was the start of Fozybear’s Cottage Crochet. I have been designing for years but only started writing patterns about 3 years ago. I have had patterns in Too Yarn Cute eMag and have tested for many designers.
Thoughts about her newest pattern, Dawn’s Grace!
This square is inspired by my daughter Dawn. She is my sunshine and since her name translates to sunrise, this I created this design for her. The square is made using basic stitches in a slightly more challenging way.
When the square is made in color, it reminds me of looking out the window as the sun rises. Sunrise has always been my favorite part of the day, as it reminds me of all the promises a new day can bring. It reminds me that no matter what happened yesterday, today is a fresh start and anything can happen.
