A few words from Debbie!

I started my little shop on Etsy in 2012. I love crocheting and I was so inspired by others who had Etsy shops, I thought I would give it a try. QT Patootie Crochet originally started out as QT Patootie Kids but as I started crocheting more and more, I was crocheting things for kids, women and men so I changed it to cover a broader spectrum.

My inspiration is yarn! All the different fibers, colors, and brands. I just want to make things with it all.

I’ve always been a crocheter. I’ve tried other things but nothing satisfies my crafty urges more than yarn and a hook.

Thoughts about her newest pattern, Popcorn Fields!

When I designed this square, I wanted something with lots of texture to show off the stitches. I wanted it to look good in a monochromatic color as well as different colors and still have it show off the texture which I think it does perfectly. The stitches I find to be pretty easy and when combined, it really has depth and definition.

The second square I’ve done in two colors. It makes me think of what fields and fields of popcorn would look like, if there were such a thing! This square just evolved all on it’s own. When I started crocheting this square, I was thinking it would look one way but when it was finished, it took on a whole new look all on it’s own. And I really like it!
