Sweet Cakes Crafty Creations Bumps & Stumps hodgepodgecrochet.net

This week is all about the Bumps & Stumps with this charming block by Sweet Cakes Crafty Creations!

I love the radiating pattern created by the circles and spokes. The texture is a fitting compliment to the blocks we’ve created so far!

Let’s learn a little more about the square and the designer behind it!

Amber Olson is the talent behind the curtain of Sweet Cakes Crafty Creations!!

You can find her all around the internet!

A few words from Amber!

Sweet Cakes Crafty Creations came about this summer to give a name to all my creations. I”ve been doing any sort of craft as long as I can remember. They have always been my ‘go to’ relaxation!!

Thoughts about her newest pattern, Bumps & Stumps!

I made this square to have a different look and feel while trying to keep the stitches as basic as possible. This square is easy for everyone to make, yet introduces you to a stitch you may not have used in the past.

I love how this square can be made into any color combo and still look amazing!!! The possibilities are endless. Since this is my first “written” pattern, I’m over the moon on how well it turned out!!

Important details about this block from the designer:

Gauge: 25 sc = 7 inches

Skill Level: Beginner

Materials Used: Caron Simply Soft Solids. H/8 5.00mm hook. Stitch marker if desired.

Special Stitches: Puff Ball/Puff Stitch. Double Magic Circle/Ring: (Adjustable Double Ring)

I hope you enjoy tackling this week’s block and you’re looking forward to next week’s exclusive design from Spider Mambo Designs!

Sometimes the designers live in different time zones than me so their pattern might be added to their Ravelry shop earlier or later than my blog post. Please be patient and keep trying. 🙂 It will be live today!
